Scenarios & Best Practices

Use natural language to interact with AI and handle daily price monitoring tasks. Here are 5 typical scenarios.

Scenario 1: Morning Price Inspection

Use AI each morning to quickly check overnight competitor price changes:

You: Good morning, please check if competitors on SG site dropped prices last night

AI: Among 5 monitored products on SG site, 1 price drop last night:

📉 iPhone 15 Pro Max:SGD 1,599 → SGD 1,499 (↓6.3%, Feishu alert sent) ➡️ AirPods Pro 2:SGD 349, unchanged ➡️ Samsung S24 Ultra:SGD 1,799, unchanged ➡️ iPad Air:SGD 899, unchanged ➡️ Apple Watch S9:SGD 549, unchanged

Recommend watching iPhone's price trend — competitor may be running a promotion.

Tool called: get_price_summary (batch mode, site=sg, days=1)

Scenario 2: Quickly Add a Monitor

Found a new competitor? Add it to monitoring with AI in one click:

You: Add this to monitoring for me: https://shopee.sg/product/12345678

AI: Added to monitoring (ID: 42):

  • Product: Anker 65W GaN Charger
  • Shop: Anker Official Store
  • Site: SG
  • Baseline price: SGD 59.90
  • Alert threshold: 5% (alert when price drops below SGD 56.90)

System has started crawling prices.

Tool called: add_monitor (product_url + alert_threshold=5)

Scenario 3: Trend Analysis

Use AI to view price trends and assist pricing decisions:

You: How has the price trend been for that AirPods product over the past week

AI: AirPods Pro 2 (SGD) — last 7 days:

DatePriceChange
6/16-6/18$349
6/19$329↓5.7%
6/20-6/22$329

Trend analysis: One price drop on 6/19 ($349→$329), then stabilized at $329. Likely a limited-time promotion rather than a sustained price cut. Recommend watching for 2-3 days before deciding whether to follow.

Tool called: get_price_history (monitor_id + days=7)

Scenario 4: System Health Check

Use AI to verify the crawl system is running normally:

You: How is the crawl system running today

AI: Crawl system health report:

📊 Today's crawls: 156, success rate 98.7% 🌏 SG site: 82, success rate 100% 🌏 MY site: 74, success rate 97.3% (2 timeouts auto-retried) 🔔 3 price drop alerts pushed to Feishu today

✅ Crawl system is healthy.

Tool called: get_crawl_health

Scenario 5: Competitor Price Comparison

Cross-compare multiple products to find the lowest price:

You: Among the chargers I'm monitoring on MY site, which one is cheapest right now

AI: Price comparison for 3 chargers monitored on MY site:

ProductCurrent PriceBaselineChange
Anker 65WRM 129RM 149↓13.4%
Baseus 65WRM 89RM 99↓10.1%
Ugreen 65WRM 109RM 109

Anker has the largest drop (↓13.4%), but Baseus 65W at RM 89 is the lowest of the three. Recommend watching whether Anker continues to drop.

Tool called: get_price_summary (batch mode, site=my)

Best Practices

  1. Regular inspection: Check price summaries with AI once in the morning and once in the evening to stay sensitive to competitor activity
  2. Set reasonable thresholds: When adding monitors, set reasonable price drop thresholds (3%-10% recommended) to avoid frequent false alerts
  3. Trend judgment: A single price drop doesn't always indicate a trend change — use get_price_history to view the full trend before making decisions
  4. Handle alerts promptly: Evaluate whether to follow up with price adjustments as soon as you receive a price drop alert to avoid missing the decision window
  5. Monitor system health: Periodically check the crawl engine with get_crawl_health to ensure uninterrupted data flow
